George dropped me off at Crosby so that I could walk the 15miles on the beach back to Southport.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/geoffjones.com\/images\/Adayonthebeach_84AC\/image02.png\" atomicselection=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-top-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px\" height=\"180\" src=\"https:\/\/geoffjones.com\/images\/Adayonthebeach_84AC\/image0_thumb.png\" width=\"240\" align=\"left\" border=\"0\"><\/a>&nbsp;I was lucky enough to see some of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.antonygormley.com\/\">Antony Gormley&#8217;s<\/a> (Caution: Flash site) <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Another_Place\">&#8220;Another Place&#8221; sculptures<\/a> gazing out across the muddy sea. Very eyrie and splendid. The icecream man was raising a petition to prevent their removal in November to the USA. Previously they have been at Cuxhaven in Germany, Stavanger in Norway and De Panne in Belgium. More close up photo&#8217;s off the figures on the &nbsp;Blueshawk website.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/geoffjones.com\/images\/Adayonthebeach_84AC\/image09.png\" atomicselection=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-bottom: 0px\" height=\"180\" src=\"https:\/\/geoffjones.com\/images\/Adayonthebeach_84AC\/image0_thumb3.png\" width=\"240\" align=\"right\" border=\"0\"><\/a>The beach&nbsp;became more&nbsp;deserted as you approach Southport and in fact Southport had the muddiest sand complete with embedded &nbsp;oil on the whole stretch of the walk, coupled with the rain starting up meant the last stretch of the 15mile walk was not the best.
