A solution has been posted on the bigblueball forum <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bigblueball.com\/forums\/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=6250\">here<\/a> and there is a load of spiel from Robin Walker on setting up proxies at NTL  <a href=\"http:\/\/homepage.ntlworld.com\/robin.d.h.walker\/cmtips\/trancache.html#ntl\">here<\/a><br \/>\n<br \/>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<br \/>\n<br \/>Instructions for Tony \ud83d\ude42<br \/>\n<br \/>Goto Internet Options in Internet Explorer, click the connections tab, and then click the Lan Settings button.<br \/>\n<br \/>Check Automatically detect Settings.<br \/>\n<br \/>Check Use Proxy Server.<br \/>\n<br \/>Type in one of the address&#8217;s below, and the port (NTL is port 8080).<br \/>\n<br \/>The NTL Cambridge proxies are:<br \/>\n<br \/>inktomi1-cam.server.ntl.com<br \/>\n<br \/>inktomi2-cam.server.ntl.com<br \/>\n<br \/>inktomi3-cam.server.ntl.com<br \/>\n<br \/>inktomi4-cam.server.ntl.com<br \/>\n<br \/>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<br \/>\n<br \/>I&#8217;m sitting pretty behind my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.smoothwall.org\">smoothwall<\/a> server, so no problems so far.<\/p>\n<div style=\"clear:both; padding-bottom:0.25em\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Apparently NTL have blocked out cable modem users from accessing Hotmail etc. This is certainly affecting Tony and others.
