The road wasn&#8217;t busy like yesterday so much better &#8211; I only at to take evasive action once &#8211; when a car was overtaking a lorry coming towards me.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_14933\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-14933\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/geoffjones.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/1-IMG_3077.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-14933\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-14933\" src=\"https:\/\/geoffjones.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/1-IMG_3077-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"The rain catching up with me\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-14933\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The rain catching up with me<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>I found the long slow drags quite hard and only one real downhill all day. I kept running into\u00a0heavy showers and my jacket proved totally useless with the arms filling with water \ud83d\ude41 good job the showers\u00a0were quite short ones. My triple protection bags worked well with water only penetrating the first layer \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>I had a good coffee break \u00a0and enjoyed the WiFi to call Sally at The Spar shop in Gobabis (Spar should publish a map with all their stores marked) Gobabis began to feel like Africa with all the ladies dressed up in their lavish dresses.<\/p>\n<p>Eventually I arrived at the Zelda Guest Farm, I declined the invite to feed the animals an instead filled my own belly \ud83d\ude42 I&#8217;m sure the grandkids would love these places bit like staying in a zoo\/playpark.<\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow it&#8217;s Botswana were apparently there are no fences alongside the roads \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.strava.com\/activities\/526333957\">Another 83 miles on the clock <\/a>making it 1,564 miles (2,500km) so far pedalled in Africa.
