{"id":1437,"date":"2005-12-07T00:25:00","date_gmt":"2005-12-07T00:25:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.geoffjones.com\/2005\/12\/rss-feeds-alternative-name.html"},"modified":"2005-12-07T00:25:00","modified_gmt":"2005-12-07T00:25:00","slug":"rss-feeds-alternative-name-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsite.geoffjones.com\/?p=1437","title":{"rendered":"RSS feeds alternative name"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div style=\"clear:both;\"><\/div>\n<p>I think the guys on the irc backchannel at <a href=\"http:\/\/lesblogs.typepad.com\/\">Les Blogs2<\/a> are onto something with an alternative name for RSS feeds as ARSE (apparently its the way RSS sounds to  native English speakers when pronounced by mainland Europeans)<\/p>\n<p>It seems a good name to me as it can be an acronym   for <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">A<\/span>tom \/ <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">RS<\/span>S \/<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">E<\/span>missions<br \/>and also has an analogy to the human body.
