{"id":12418,"date":"2014-03-08T15:14:17","date_gmt":"2014-03-08T15:14:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/geoffjones.com\/?p=12418"},"modified":"2014-03-08T15:14:17","modified_gmt":"2014-03-08T15:14:17","slug":"bangkok-booty","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsite.geoffjones.com\/?p=12418","title":{"rendered":"Bangkok booty"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After, for me, a record breaking 4 nights at the ultra deluxe <a href=\"http:\/\/www.windsorsuiteshotel.com\/\">Windsor Suites Hotel <\/a>I&#8217;m moving \u00a0south towards Singapore \u00a0tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/geoffjones.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/1-IMG_8340.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-12421\" alt=\"New spectacles\" src=\"https:\/\/geoffjones.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/1-IMG_8340-300x90.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"90\" srcset=\"https:\/\/newsite.geoffjones.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/1-IMG_8340-300x90.jpg 300w, https:\/\/newsite.geoffjones.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/1-IMG_8340.jpg 680w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>The long delay was due to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.siamoptic.com\/\">V.Siam Optical <\/a>\u00a0waiting for my replacement prescription glasses which after 4 days duly arrived today, not particularly cheap at \u00a0\u00a3163 for varifocal adaptive glasses but wow are they lightweight in a titanium frame &amp; ultrathin plastic with <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Crizal\">Crizal Alize<\/a> coating. Suddenly I can see again \ud83d\ude42 Must remember after snoozing that I still have them on!<\/p>\n<p>My other &#8216;major&#8217; purchase was a new bike mount for my iPhone. T<a href=\"http:\/\/www.topeak.com\/products\/bags\/smartphone_drybag_ip5_bk\">he Topeak <\/a>performs well in wetter cooler climes. However, here it acts as a mini cloche causing the iPhone to overheat and switch off, even with no direct sunlight, \ud83d\ude41 not so good for navigation.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/geoffjones.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/1-IMG_0951.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-12420\" alt=\"iPhone bike mount\" src=\"https:\/\/geoffjones.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/1-IMG_0951-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>In Loft they had a Capdace Uniconcept \u00a0Asia Ltd Racer Bike mount holder, \u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">HR00-BC01 \u00a0for \u00a313\u00a0<\/span>which would be useless in the wet but maybe good in the dry as the iPhone is exposed to the wind directly, all it needs now is a little brolly \u00a0for shade so I can read it in the sun.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/geoffjones.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/1-IMG_8311.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-12419\" alt=\"Geoff's flash silk sleeping bag\" src=\"https:\/\/geoffjones.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/1-IMG_8311-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>I also had one of the tailors here, Zerutti, modify my beloved Chinese \u00a0blue silk sleeping bag so it now has a \u00a0bright red silk pillow holder for when I return to my down market establishments that have no sheets..<\/p>\n<p>Other than that I haven&#8217;t bought anything here, except a few too many Starbucks Frappuccinos \u00a0\ud83d\ude41 In fact Bangkok is not really my type of place although I did get a decentish massage at the hotel today (although they need to buy their oils from <a href=\"http:\/\/sallykelly.com\">Sally<\/a>) \u00a0and just maybe my left heel fasciitis\u00a0has eased of a little.<\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow I&#8217;m booked into\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Baansuanphidchamika in\u00a0<\/span>Amphawa \u00a0so I should get to see the floating markets etc.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After, for me, a record breaking 4 nights at the ultra deluxe Windsor Suites Hotel I&#8217;m moving \u00a0south towards Singapore \u00a0tomorrow.
