However, remembering <a href=\"http:\/\/euansemple.com\">Euan&#8217;s<\/a> shenanigans with 3 in France I opted to go with Vodafone. Disappoingly I now find their network is mainly Edge with 3G only in the big places.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_11574\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-11574\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/geoffjones.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/IMG_3919.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-11574\" alt=\"Geoff at the start of The Danube\" src=\"https:\/\/geoffjones.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/IMG_3919-300x200.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/newsite.geoffjones.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/IMG_3919-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/newsite.geoffjones.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/IMG_3919-768x513.jpg 768w, https:\/\/newsite.geoffjones.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/IMG_3919.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-11574\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Geoff at the start of The Danube<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>I started cycling and found the spot where the Brigach &amp; Breg meet in quite an idyllic place, except for the bridge carrying the by pass a few metres away, immediately bringing my mind to the horror of Byrons Pool.<br \/>\nAt least the bridge hides the huge sewage works discharging as much water into the nascent Danube as one of the streams.<br \/>\nThe ride continues pleasantly zig zagging on smooth paths through fields.<br \/>\nThe surprise is at Immedingen the Danube disappears to apparently pop out 12km away to from the Aach river! So the Danube has to start gathering water again! A small canal allows a little bit of the original water to continue to appease the doubters \ud83d\ude42<br \/>\nThe afternoon continued up &amp; down through gorgeous limestone gorges.
